Annual SSBC Pub night 2017 Fundraiser

 Its that time of year again when the Steelhead Society of BC hosts its annual fundraiser event. 

 

All net proceeds of this event go to supporting the work SSBC does  for the various habitat projects and advocacy work in helping protect and restore steelhead rivers and their inhabitants across BC. Some of the recent projects paid for by this annual event are: Spius Habitat resortation (2012), Bonaparte habitat resoration ( 2013), Coldwater habitat resoration on the Eaton-Beaton channel (2014), Nicola 1.0 and Nicola 2.0 (2015), Shovelnose emegency Berm repair and Deadman study, Guichon creek habitat project (2016), Shovelnose Berm strengthening (in partnership with the Squamish First Nation, Squamish River Watershed Society, and MFLNRO, SSBC supplied the information that got a $50,000 grant to partially pay for this work and the SSBC paid the remaining balance, 2017), Coquihalla barrier mitigation project ( in partnership with FWFS, Kingfishers, HCTF, BCCF, MFLNRO ( 2017).

 

Please consider that as a grass roots organisation SSBC has no paid staff and all work is done on a volunteer basis. This means your contibution goes directly into supporting the advocacy and habitat work SSBC does. As always, SSBC is accepting donations and contibutions (with gracious thanks) for this event which may be dropped off at:

 This fun filled social evening will once again be at Micky’s Public House, Thursday November 23 at 7:00 P.M.

$20 includes a Burger and a Beer Special
